Our Credentials

We are a third generation, family owned and operated firm. We are one of the nations' leading diamond cutters and importers as well as designers and manufacturers of fine jewelry, with an on-site factory in New York City. Are members of the Diamond Dealers Club of New York, the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and Diamond Graduates of the GIA.

In 2001 we opened our offices to private clients, allowing direct access to an extraordinary selection of diamonds and an exclusive collection of jewelry designs usually only available to top wholesalers and retailers across the country. All this is available at the same price wholesalers pay.

We approach this business with the attitude that buying a diamond is fun. This is an investment in something that is as rare and wonderful as it is valuable. We are here to help you select the right diamond at the right price. A visit to Regency Diamonds is a relaxed experience. We begin by education & teaching the 4C's, but reaches far beyond the basics.

Then determine what shape and carat weight a client is interested in, and then offer a broad range of choices for consideration. It is extremely important to look at diamonds loose. The color of a setting might affect the color of the diamond or a setting might hide inclusions that you can only see when loose. And of course, there is no way to accurately determine a diamond's correct carat weight once it's in a setting.

We always present diamonds loose in a side-by-side comparison. This is something many merchants cannot do, either because they don't stock many different diamonds or because they are not confident that their diamonds will stand up to such a comparison. The diamonds we show are diamonds cut to our exact specifications in our own factories.

Almost every diamond we sell comes with a detailed, written grading report from one of the four major independent laboratories, mostly from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA). This gives you confidence in knowing that we are honest in our grading. As a special service for our clients, we provide you with an appraisal from an independent appraiser. Unlike most retail jewelers we don't feel it's ethical to appraise an item that we are selling. This independent appraisal reconfirms that your diamond has been accurately graded and that the diamond is in the same condition as when it was graded by the original lab, it also gives you a replacement value, which you would need for insurance purposes.

All we ask is that you compare each diamond accurately, (i.e., the same color, clarity and cut (proportions) and of course a grading report from the same lab).

We also offer an unsurpassed trade-up policy- you can trade-up your diamond at any time in the future. Whether it's a few weeks or 20 years, you will get at least what you paid for it and probably more than you paid (depending on how long you wait to upgrade) towards another diamond.
